EdServ, a Chennai-based education and placement company, more than tripled its net profit to Rs 3.96 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009 as against Rs 1.13 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. Revenue increased by over four times to Rs. 11.17 crore (Rs. 2.48 crore). The Chief Executive Officer, Mr S. Giridharan, said the increase in revenue was due to growth in the company's in-campus and offcampus businesses through EdCademy, online jobs fitment revenues through EdCampus and e-Learning income through partner network. The company has seen an increased interest from new partners to venture into the education business and has expanded its presence to over 250 EdCenters.
