EdServ bags Silicon Indias best 'New Apps' award
- Company confident of achieving its 1crore customer base and Rs.200cr revenue target for its mobile apps business
Chennai based Education Support Services Company EdServ has announced that the company has bagged Silicon India's Best 'New apps' award for its 'HumThum' Education content application that the company launched earlier this year. EdServ's HumThum apps was chosen against stiff competition from close to 20 other new apps launched this year for its unique idea to solve local problems through its first of its kind over 20,000 web sites created for every pin code in India. HumThum apps has already had over 100,000 downloads. EdServ is targeting a customer base of 1 crore and revenues of Rs. 200 cr over the next 3years from its mobile apps foray.

HumThum.com is a unique mobile based Knowledge apps that can be accessed anywhere anytime from the mobile smart phone. EdServ has tied up with Samsung and Blackberry to provide its wide range of Educational content that includes tuition, Academics, Skill Development, and test prep services on the smart phone. HumThum application has a first of its kind PDF converter that will change mobile smart phones to a mobile scanner or a photocopier. HumThum apps has a 'Talking Dictionary' that provides pronunciation and meaning of any English word. Humthum also helps users to design, host and update their own personal or business website from the mobile phone.
